What is Comparison Microscope? Comparison Microscope, also known as Forensic Microscope. A comparison microscope consists of two separate microscope heads, each with its own viewing eyepiece, objective lens, and light source. The two heads are connected by a bridge, which allows the specimens to be viewed side-by-side in the same field of view. The two specimens are usually placed on separate stages, which can be adjusted independently to allow for precise comparison. It is an important instrument mainly used in forensic labs, security printing works, banks, industry quality control dept., for comparison investigation of bullets & cartridges case, tool marks, currency, coins, banknotes, documents, stamps, seals, fingerprint, fiber, and more small evidence.
 In the comparison microscope, the most important part is optical bridge. As shown in the picture below, it can bring two separate optical light paths into one view field, combining two images into one view field, enabling users to view both objects at the same real time, under same magnification, similar illumination conditions.
 Through the two separate optical systems of the instrument, you can view the individual full left or full right object, or compare the two objects in split-image and overlapping image, in the same view field, to find out the micro difference between them.
